WE NEED A GROWN UP DEBATE ABOUT INCOME TAX
As MSPs vote on the new Scottish income tax rates, Duncan Thorp of Social Enterprise Scotland said:
“The political narrative around Scottish income tax is stale and predictable. Higher tax supporters versus the business establishment is a tired debate.
“There are many ways we can use tax to encourage the growth of the social enterprise and ethical business economy. We must work together to reform our whole tax system and ensure that everyone benefits from growth.
“Social enterprise is about fresh thinking, not the same old business-as-usual approach.”
