Leith Community Pottery CIC offer expert tuition in pottery techniques by Andy Lang (BA) and, on occasion, guest specialists. Several places in classes and workshops will be offered free of charge or for voluntary donation to those living with mental health conditions, the marginalised, the isolated, those living with dementia, those with any physical health conditions likely to benefit from the gentle exercise involved in clay-work and other disenfranchised groups. We will build links with community councils, local community groups, schools and other social enterprises and plan to offer work experience to young people. All profits will go back into the business in order to allow us to offer free and subsidised access to our activities and services to those living with poor mental health, dementia, social isolation and exclusion.
