We are a social enterprise based in North East Scotland. Every individual book or gift book box you buy from us helps us to donate books to keep for children living in poverty who have very limited access to owning their own books.

At the Mighty Oaks Book Club we are passionate about promoting the many benefits for children of reading and being read to.

Regular reading for pleasure has the power to improve children’s mental health and well-being by aiding them to discover new worlds, meet new characters, build empathy and resilience, process new found emotions all whilst developing imagination, language and literacy skills. Above all, research shows it has a huge impact on improving children’s overall life outcomes.

We believe ALL children should be able to enjoy the benefits and the magic of reading books for fun and our aim is to help improve the life chances of children living in poverty in our local communities.
