UK election manifesto for Scottish social enterprises

Posted: 04 March 2015

Doc Type(s): General Policy Documents

Document(s)

This is our manifesto for the forthcoming UK General Election 2015 (covering current powers reserved to the UK Parliament and Government).

The manifesto was formed with the responses received from social enterprises who took part in our 2014 national policy survey, CPG meetings in The Scottish Parliament and survey responses and discussions around the new national vision and strategy for social enterprise, as well as recent feedback from Social Enterprise Scotland members.

The aim of the manifesto is to help Scottish social enterprises grow and develop as a community, as well as to call for the reform of the public and private sectors, in order to spread the benefits of social enterprise values and practises. This will all feed into the Holyrood elections next year too.

The Social Enterprise Scotland Team

Many thanks for all your feedback on our manifesto for the upcoming UK General Election (covering current powers reserved to the UK Parliament and Government).

As mentioned the draft manifesto was formed directly with the responses received from social enterprises who took part in our 2014 national policy survey, CPG meetings in The Scottish Parliament and survey responses and discussions around the new national vision and strategy for social enterprise – as well as your most recent feedback.

The aim of the manifesto is to help Scottish social enterprises grow and develop as a community, as well as to call for the reform of the public and private sectors, in order to spread the benefits of social enterprise values and practises. This will all feed into the Holyrood elections next year too!
