This session, delivered by Democratic Finance Scotland (part of DTAS), will introduce community-led organisations to practical, people-powered approaches to raising finance. Covering community shares, crowdfunding, and legacy giving, the workshop will explore how these models can support sustainable, community-driven projects.

Building on over 20 years grass roots community work at DTAS, Democratic Finance Scotland has created a network of over 21,000 citizen investors, raising over £21million in the process.  They support communities to increase knowledge and use of democratic finance models that captures and boosts wealth and control within communities.

The session will include space for questions and an opportunity to share your own ideas and experiences – offering participants both inspiration and practical insights to explore and start using alternative, sustainable funding methods.
