Open Call: Compère(s) and Entertainment for the Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2026

Social Enterprise Scotland is seeking expressions of interest for compère(s) and evening entertainment for the Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2026.  The Awards are Scotland’s national celebration of social enterprise, recognising organisations and individuals who are delivering social, environmental and economic impact across communities.

We are seeking individuals and organisations who can contribute to a professional, engaging and memorable event that reflects the values and ambition of Scotland’s social enterprise sector.

Compère(s):

We are looking to appoint one or two experienced compères to host the evening.  The successful candidate(s) will:

  • Open the event with a short introduction that sets the tone for the evening deliver a co-written script to introduce award categories and nominees, invite judges to present awards and announce winners and generally maintain pace, energy and smooth transitions throughout the programme

This role requires strong stage presence, the ability to engage a diverse audience, and experience of hosting formal events.

Budget: circa £2,000 

Entertainment:

We are also inviting proposals for evening entertainment.  We are open to a range of formats, including music, spoken word, or performance. The selected act will:

  • Provide opening and closing performances
  • Deliver approximately 45 minutes of content across the evening
  • Contribute to the overall tone and experience of the event

Budget: £500 – £2,000 (depending on scale and production requirements)

Event Details

  • Venue: Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow
  • Date: Wednesday 28 October 2026
  • Format: Drinks reception, dinner, awards ceremony and entertainment
  • Audience: Approximately 300 attendees, including leaders from Scotland’s social enterprise sector, public and private sector partners, media and stakeholders
