Louise is a founder member of the worker co-operative media co-op, creating film, animation and digital media for the third and public sector for over 20 years. media co-op was proud to win the inaugural Impact Award for Inclusive Democratic Businesses.
Louise is also a member of Co-operate Scotland, a co-op of specialist business advisers for the co-operative movement. And she’s active in the UK-wide Worker Co-ops Federation.
In the past, Louise was Nations and Regions Director at the UK Sector Skills Council for the Audiovisual industry; led the UK team of the EU MEDIA Programme; and worked as a consultant in Brussels on EU funding and policy.
As a volunteer, Louise served on the Children’s Panel, taught English to asylum seekers, befriended young people in care, was on the Board of an LGBT arts festival, and chairs her local allotment committee.
