Thank you to Scottish Community Alliance for funding this Community Learning Exchange.

Join us for this informal and interactive in-person Learning Exchange to Scottish Sports Futures (SSF) who have been using the power of sport for 25 years to help young people build confidence, resilience, and healthier lives.

Working locally in Glasgow, North Ayrshire, Stirling, and Fife—and nationally through training—SSF delivers targeted prevention and intervention programmes that support young people facing poverty, trauma, and adversity to reach their full potential.

The Exchange will begin with tea/coffee at 10.00, and we will start at 10.30. Depending on timings, we’ll aim to finish around 2.30/3pm.

Learn from SSF about:

  • Building a sustainable operating model – how they have transitioned their Education and Training strand from being majority grant funded to a more sustainable income-generating approach
  • Transforming Young Lives through Sport – how they use the combination of sport and youth work to help young people develop confidence, resilience and skills to help buffer against the impact of poverty, trauma and adversity.
  • Developing a Trauma Informed Approach – hear about the journey they’ve taken to become a trauma informed organisation, ensuring staff are trauma informed, as well as developing and delivering trauma based training for the sport sector and young people.

Places are limited so you’re recommended to book early and to ensure the maximum benefit, please limit to 2 per organisation.
