Communities across Scotland are developing innovative, place-based solutions to support children and families where access to childcare and family services can be limited. This session will explore how village halls, community hubs and other local spaces are being reimagined as trusted centres for affordable childcare and family support, helping parents access employment while strengthening community resilience.

Drawing on diverse examples from across Scotland, we’ll learn how community ownership, local partnerships and flexible use of shared spaces can help address barriers created by distance, transport and limited childcare provision.
