Highland Thrive CIC
Highland Thrive is a community focused social enterprise working across the Highlands of Scotland to design and deliver practical, locally responsive solutions that strengthen people, organisations and communities.
We operate at the intersection of employability, workforce development and community capacity building, aligning local need with regional economic opportunity. In a geography shaped by rurality, infrastructure constraints and demographic change, we work collaboratively to ensure that individuals are not excluded from opportunity due to location, confidence, skills gaps or systemic barriers.
Our model combines:
• Direct delivery of inclusive, person-centred employability and progression support
• Strategic workforce pathway design aligned to local labour market demand
• Supported employment and progression models that improve outcomes for individuals facing complex barriers
• Organisational consultancy and capacity-building for third-sector and community partners
Highland Thrive works alongside local authorities, development trusts, charities, employers, training providers and community anchor organisations to co design solutions that are sustainable, outcome focused and grounded in place.
We are particularly focused on strengthening employability ecosystems across Sutherland, Caithness, Easter Ross and the wider Highlands, ensuring that investment translates into accessible pathways for local people and long term community benefit.
As a social enterprise, we reinvest our expertise and trading surplus into community impact, supporting resilient organisations, inclusive growth and stronger rural economies.
