In our latest member spotlight, we’re thrilled to be joined by Ros Browning, Business Coordinator at Transform Creative.
What does your social enterprise do, and why do you do it?
We create engaging, effective and ethical materials and campaigns. Our approach is purpose-driven and playful; imaginative and impactful. We were founded 10 years ago by Transform Scotland, the national alliance for sustainable transport. All our profits are reinvested in Transform’s charitable work – to advance fair, accessible and sustainable transport for all across Scotland.

What’s your personal motivation?
A vision of Scotland where our transport system is fair for everyone, healthy, easy to use and integrated. A vision where urban landscapes are transformed to have fewer cars and clean air, beautiful spaces and people out enjoying the streets.
What is next on the horizon for your social enterprise, and how do you plan to get there?
We just celebrated our 10-year anniversary, and now we have plans to grow momentum! We want to spread the word, make new contacts in the sector and implement a new marketing strategy so that people think of us first whenever they need creative expertise!
What’s the hardest thing you’ve had to overcome in your social enterprise journey?
Reaching new customers!
What is your most satisfying achievement so far?
We have many – a glimpse of some of our best and most satisfying work is highlighted in our new showreel.
How has being a member of Social Enterprise Scotland helped you?
By learning from other SEs through networking events and funding bulletins.
Who in the social enterprise community inspires you and why?
Our own senior creative experts! They each bring unique, valuable skills and experience to Transform Creative, often going above and beyond to produce skilled, impactful work whilst promoting Transform Creative in their free time as well. Also, The Larder! They inspire us with their creative (tasty!) menus and always link what they do with the incredible impact they have in reducing food poverty and increasing employability skills.
What top tips would you give to other social enterprises?
